Soccer Recap: Gateway Takes a Loss

Gateway managed to keep up with Adams City until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Olympians came up short against the Eagles, falling 4-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Gateway's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-1. As for Adams City, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3-1.

Gateway will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Skyview at 6:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for Adams City, they will take on Thornton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Adams City are facing Thornton at the right time seeing as Thornton are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
