League recap: Williams Valley's Daniel delivers best pitching performance from past week

Schuylkill County 2's top pitcher this week was Williams Valley's Owen Daniel. He picked up one win and five strikeouts.

Tri-valley (15-6, 12-4) is red-hot, having won four straight games, the longest such streak in the league. In the past week, the Bulldogs won another game,.

Tri-Valley's pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only one hit and two walks, both of which led the league.

Marian Catholic stole 14 bases this week, adding to its league-leading 108 steals on the year.

The league boasted seven .400 hitters over the past week. Leading the pack was Hunter Bordner, who hit 1.000 by going 3-for-3.



Minersville's Ryan King struck out six batters over the past week, bringing his league-leading season total to 68.

Codie Miller drove in five runners on Friday in the Vikings' 8-3 victory over Marian Catholic. He went 3-for-4 and scored one run.
