Basketball Recap: West Craven Starts Season with Win Against East Carteret + How To Watch

West Craven took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They snuck past the East Carteret Mariners with a 46-40 victory. The score was all tied up 22-22 at the break, but the Eagles were the better team in the second half.

West Craven's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaiden Bryant, who posted 13 points. Cameron Wilson was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

East Carteret's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Luke Wise, who scored six points and three steals, and Chase Roberson, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards. Zaine Wallace also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

East Carteret dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
