Soccer Game Preview: Franklin vs. McDowell

The Franklin Knights will square off against the McDowell Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight losses, while McDowell will come in with three straight wins.

Franklin fell victim to Warren and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 9-0 to the Dragons. While losing is never fun, Franklin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 514th, while Warren are ranked 157th).

Meanwhile, McDowell kept a clean sheet against Meadville on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0.

Tony Bisesto was the driving force of McDowell's attack as he scored both of McDowell's goals, bringing his season total up to 14 goals.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for McDowell, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Franklin might still be hurting after the 10-1 loss they got from McDowell when the teams last played back in September. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Knights were down 4-0.
