Basketball Game Preview: Highland Tech Rams vs. Cherryville Ironmen + How To Watch

The Highland Tech Rams will challenge the Cherryville Ironmen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Highland Tech and three for Cherryville.

Despite the loss, Highland Tech saw an underclassman step up: freshman Darius Stinson Jr posted 31 points. With that strong performance, Stinson Jr is now averaging an impressive 15.9 points per game. Another player making a difference was Irvin Thompson, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 16 boards.

Meanwhile, Cherryville played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against East Gaston, falling 67-44.

Cherryville now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Highland Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Highland Tech took their win against Cherryville in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 56-30 score. In that contest, the Rams amassed a halftime lead of 33-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
