Baseball Recap: Clearwater Fightin' Tigers vs. South Iron Panthers
Clearwater lost to South Iron back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Fightin' Tigers lost 14-5 to the Panthers. The Fightin' Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Keigan White was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. White was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double. That double was his first of the season.
White wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Austin Miller, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That run marked the first that Miller has scored this season. Lucian Harris was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Clearwater's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for South Iron, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Looking ahead, Clearwater will be playing in front of their home fans against Bloomfield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Iron, they will challenge Naylor at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
