Softball Recap: Northern Nash Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rocky Mount last Tuesday, Northern Nash came back down to earth. The Knights came up short against the Bunn Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 16-1. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost nine in a row.

Northern Nash saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kasey Burden, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Northern Nash's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Bunn, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Northern Nash will challenge rival Roanoke Rapids at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Yellowjackets a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. Meanwhile, Bunn is set to face off against their familiar foe Franklinton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
