Softball Recap: La Pine Hawks vs. Oakridge Warriors
La Pine lost to Oakridge on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hawks fell 18-13 to the Warriors. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Nevaeh Martinez and Jade Seymour did some serious damage despite the final result: Martinez went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Seymour went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Aaron, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
La Pine's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Oakridge, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-2.
Coming up, La Pine will be playing at home against Ridgeview at 8:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Oakridge, they will head out to face off against Creswell on Thursday.
