Recap: UME Preparatory Academy EAGLES vs. Frassati Catholic Falcons
The UME Preparatory Academy EAGLES fell victim to the Frassati Catholic Falcons's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 33-0 loss at the hands of the Falcons. UME Preparatory Academy was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Frassati Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Patrick Rice, who threw for 191 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikey Johnston, who gained 115 total yards and a touchdown.
UME Preparatory Academy's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 6-4 Founders Classical Academy and 6-4 Shelton (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 62.5% over those games). As for Frassati Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
UME Preparatory Academy will head out on the road to face off against Newman International Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Frassati Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
