Basketball Recap: Duval Charter Panthers vs. Fernandina Beach Pirates
Duval Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 62-27 loss at the hands of the Fernandina Beach Pirates. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-14.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fernandina Beach to victory, but perhaps none more so than Terrence Jones, who posted six points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Brady Steffen, who had five points and five rebounds.
Duval Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Fernandina Beach, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-6.
