Preview: River Valley Vikings vs. Clear Fork Colts
River Valley is 8-2 against Clear Fork since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The River Valley Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Clear Fork Colts at 7:15 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
River Valley scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Galion at home to the tune of 78-35. Given River Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while Galion is ranked 688th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Clear Fork strolled past Cardington-Lincoln with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 54-38.
River Valley is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Clear Fork, they pushed their record up to 15-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
River Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Clear Fork in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 31-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for River Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
