Basketball Recap: Logan's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

If Cedar wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Logan, they should've done a better job of containing Reed Olsen. The Logan Grizzlies were the clear victor by a 67-43 margin over the Cedar Reds on Thursday thanks in part to Olsen, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 15 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.8 points per game.

Milo Steele was another key player, going 6 of 7 from beyond the arc on his way to 18 points. Those 18 points gave him a new career-high.

Cedar lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Hayden Kee, who went 8 of 18 on his way to 19 points. Kee's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Davis, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 10 points.

With the win, Logan broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for Cedar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Logan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-44 loss against Pine View on the 13th. Cedar has also already played their next contest, a 68-29 defeat against Desert Hills on the 18th.
