St. Anthony had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Northwood Timberwolves 6-5. Winning may never get old, but the Saints sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.

The team relied heavily on John Arnold, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Austin Cassidy was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: St. Anthony kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

St. Anthony's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Northwood, they now have a losing record of 15-16-1.

Looking ahead, St. Anthony will challenge Elsinore at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Saints' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Northwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
