Basketball Recap: Albert Lea Takes a Loss

Albert Lea was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 69-66 heartbreaker at the hands of the Faribault Falcons. The Tigers lost against the Falcons in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 86-61 score last time.

Albert Lea's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Faribault, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Albert Lea has already played their next contest, a 67-64 defeat against John Marshall on the 16th. As for Faribault, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 77-39 loss against Orono on the 13th.
