Softball Recap: Whitmer Comes Up Short

Whitmer blew Ross out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Ross got their revenge. The Panthers fell just short of the Little Giants by a score of 6-4. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Ryleigh Hannibal was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Olivia Munoz, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

Whitmer's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Ross, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Whitmer is set to challenge their familiar foe Napoleon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ross will face off against rival Southview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
