Tucker County waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the East Hardy Cougars 59-39. The Mountain Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Tucker County to victory were Raven Matthews and Mayah Gross. Matthews dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Gross went 6 for 8 on her way to 15 points. The contest was Matthews' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Makenna Evans, who posted five points along with eight assists and six boards.

Tucker County was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Hardy only posted 11 assists.

When it comes to explaining why East Hardy lost, don't look at Brooklynn Tinnell. Despite the final result, she put up 24 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. Tinnell has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 21 times she's played. Chloe Miller was another key player, putting up three points along with eight boards and three steals.

Tucker County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for East Hardy, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

As for East Hardy, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the East Hardy Cougars face off against the Union Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Hardy is facing Union at the right time seeing as Union is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
