Baseball Recap: Earlham Triumphs

Earlham took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against A-D-M, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Tigers 7-5. Seven seems to be a good number for the Cardinals as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Earlham's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-13. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for A-D-M, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Earlham is taking a road trip to square off against Pleasantville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight. As for A-D-M, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gilbert at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
