Basketball Recap: Shenandoah Has No Trouble Against Nebraska City

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Shenandoah on Friday. They took down the Nebraska City Pioneers 55-38. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2017.

Defeat or not, Nebraska City got some senior leadership from Brayden Earll and Alex Martinez. Earll posted nine points, while Martinez put up seven points. The dominant performance gave Martinez a new career-high in points.

The win got Shenandoah back to even at 2-2. As for Nebraska City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Shenandoah is taking a road trip to square off against Clarinda at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Shenandoah knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Clarinda likes a good challenge. As for Nebraska City, they will welcome Syracuse at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
