Softball Recap: Providence Grove Wins Going Away Against Wheatmore

Providence Grove entered their tilt with Wheatmore on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Wheatmore Warriors get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Patriots this season.

Providence Grove pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Wheatmore, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Grove will welcome Southwestern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wheatmore, they will host West Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wheatmore has given up an average of 10 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
