Baseball Recap: Marshall County Wins Going Away Against Central Magnet

While Marshall County put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Central Magnet. Marshall County was the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over Central Magnet. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tigers have posted against Central Magnet since April 17, 2018.

Lucas Hery was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Aden Kirby was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Marshall County pushed their record up to 6-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Central Magnet, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshall County will face off against Summertown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
