Colony extended their winning streak to 16 on Thursday, bumping them up to 26-2. They put the hurt on the Delta Huskies with a sharp 13-1 win. Considering the Knights have won 16 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Alli Morrissey made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, earning two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Taylor Passard was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Morgan Gallagher, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Colony always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Delta only posted an OBP of .167.

As for Delta, they now have a losing record of 3-4. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but Colony's pitcher proved too tough.

On Delta's side, Leah Arroyo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Arroyo has launched this season.

Coming up, Colony is taking a road trip to face off against Lathrop at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Delta, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against North Pole at 7:00 p.m.
