La Lumiere picks up sixth straight win at home

Recap: La Lumiere Lakers vs. Calumet Christian Patriots

The La Lumiere Lakers entered their tilt with the Calumet Christian Patriots with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. La Lumiere came out on top against Calumet Christian by a score of 43-32 on Tuesday. Given La Lumiere's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Calumet Christian is ranked 272nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Makenna Landkrohn, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds. Calla Ogden was another key contributor, scoring five points along with ten rebounds.

La Lumiere pushed their record up to 6-3 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Calumet Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10.

La Lumiere will head out on the road to challenge Lake Forest Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. Calumet Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Portage Christian at 5:15 p.m. on February 12th.
