Baseball Recap: East Chicago Central Takes a Loss

East Chicago Central and Highland squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but East Chicago Central had to settle for second. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Cardinals' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

East Chicago Central's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Highland, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-13.

East Chicago Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Highland, they will square off against Hammond Bishop Noll at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
