River Hill is 8-2 against Long Reach since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Lightning at 1:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: River Hill has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Long Reach will arrive with three straight victories.

Last Friday, River Hill ended up a good deal behind Guilford Park and lost 33-14.

Meanwhile, Long Reach got the win against Mt. Hebron on Friday by a conclusive 27-6. Fans of the Lightning have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Long Reach's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for River Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything went River Hill's way against Long Reach in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as River Hill made off with a 21-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
