There's no place like home for Rincon/University, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks 47-29 on Monday. For the Rangers, this counts as revenge for the 40-38 victory the Nighthawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Rincon/University's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Leila O'Dowd, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. O'Dowd has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sabrina Wexler, who went 5-for-7 en route to 11 points.

Rincon/University was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ironwood Ridge only racked up six assists.

Despite the loss, Ironwood Ridge still got an impressive performance from Molly Walter, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 17 boards. Another player making a difference was Scarlett Barton, who posted seven points.

Rincon/University is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points over those games. As for Ironwood Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season.

Rincon/University does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ironwood Ridge, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-41 win against Marana on the 12th.
