Basketball Game Preview: Severna Park Falcons vs. Meade Mustangs

Severna Park and Meade are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Severna Park Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the Meade Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Severna Park saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 39-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Frederick. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Cadets are ranked 35th).

Meanwhile, Meade was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 51-46 to Chesapeake. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Severna Park's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Meade, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Severna Park was able to grind out a solid win over Meade in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 43-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Severna Park since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
