Soccer Game Preview: East Chambers vs. Lumberton

The East Chambers Buccaneers will square off against the Lumberton Raiders at 12:45 p.m. on Thursday.

East Chambers is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Sulphur Springs just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Saturday. Both finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw. The result kept the Buccaneers happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

Meanwhile, Lumberton fell victim to Port Neches-Groves and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 1-0.

Lumberton now has a losing record at 1-2-2. East Chambers' draw makes their record 5-0-1 this season.

Everything went East Chambers' way against Lumberton in their previous meeting back in January of 2021, as East Chambers made off with a 5-0 victory. Will East Chambers repeat their success, or does Lumberton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
