Soccer Recap: Haltom Comes Up Short

After flying high against Eagle Mountain last Friday, Haltom came back down to earth. The Haltom Buffalos lost 8-0 to the Arlington Colts on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Buffalos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 544th, while the Colts are ranked 70th).

Haltom's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for Arlington, they pushed their record up to 5-0-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Haltom will venture away from home to challenge Lamar at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lamar's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Arlington, they will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on South Grand Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
