Volleyball Recap: Marlington Comes Up Short

Marlington was the 3-2 winner over Olmsted Falls when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dukes took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Saturday. The Dukes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marlington started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-7, 25-12, 25-15.

Marlington now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Olmsted Falls, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marlington will venture away from home to square off against Carrollton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Dukes' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Olmsted Falls, they will face off against Steele at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
