Basketball Recap: Mounds Comes Up Short

Mounds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 63-22 loss at the hands of the Porter Pirates. The Golden Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Mounds' loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Porter, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mounds will host Hulbert at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Porter, they will square off against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
