Jacob Fabbro made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Fabbro wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Bentley Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI Johnson has posted since back in April of 2024. Aidan Rhoads was another, earning one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases.
Granville Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wellington School, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on Tree of Life Christian with a sharp 13-3 victory on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Granville Christian Academy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 8.8 runs thus far. As for Wellington School, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
