Baseball Recap: Houston Christian Mustangs vs. Needville Bluejays
Houston Christian won against Wayne Academy last Thursday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Houston Christian Mustangs walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Needville Bluejays. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Bluejays recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Kaden Worley was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Worley wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Davenport, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Another was Kirby Orth, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.
Houston Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The victory got Houston Christian back to even at 8-8. As for Needville, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-5 record.

As for Needville, they will host Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbia will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Needville surely won't give up without a fight.
