It was a proper cat-fight when Victory Christian Academy challenged Rock River United on Saturday. The Lions walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bobcats.

Victory Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Anna Butcher, who had 11 digs and two aces. Butcher has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Butcher wasn't the only good servers: Victory Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. The Lions are 16-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Victory Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 22-9-1. As for Rock River United, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3-1 record this season.

Victory Christian Academy has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Kankakee Trinity Academy on the 18th. Rock River United does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
