            Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs  on Friday. Edgerton fell just short of Swanton by a score of  7-5.

Edgerton got a good showing from  Parker Elden, who   tossed three innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits. Elden has become a key player for Edgerton: the team is 3-1 when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 7-8 otherwise.
 On the hitting side,  Cory Herman was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  he has  hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Noah Weaver, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run.
Edgerton's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Swanton, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-5.
 Looking ahead, Edgerton will host Edon  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Swanton, they will venture away from home to  face off against Perkins  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
