No. 12 De La Salle hosts Bishop Gorman in the Game of the Week.

No. 4 St. John's (Washington, D.C.) hosting No. 5 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) was slated to be our Game of the Week but Hurricane Florence had other ideas. This is the second straight year a matchup between IMG and St. John's was cancelled, but they are still trying to reschedule the game.

So, we're heading west and our new Game of the Week now features two of the most prestigious programs in high school football — No. 12 De La Salle vs. Bishop Gorman.

The Spartans are one of six Top 25 teams involved in the games of the week and is also one of three out-of-state showdowns.

Five Texas teams are involved, including No. 21 North Shore (Houston) facing Houston Westfield on the road, Coppell hosting No. 3 Allen, and No. 20 Duncanville welcomes Louisiana power, Evangel Christian Academy, to the Lone Star State.

The top ranked team from Georgia, Colquitt County, faces a big-time test on Friday against an undefeated Warner Robins team. Jake Fromm's younger brother, Dylan Fromm, has been lighting it up this year. He has thrown for 1,000-plus yards and nine touchdowns and led the Demons to a 3-0 start in 2018. This is one of two Georgia games featured this week with the defending 7A state champs, North Gwinnett, taking on Dominick Blaylock and Walton being the other Peach State matchup.

A big game in Southern California features two undefeated teams — Upland and Mission Viejo. New Jersey has a huge league showdown going on between St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City) and No. 14 Bergen Catholic (Oradell).

The last two games feature University Lab (Baton Rouge, La.) taking on Catholic (Baton Rouge, La.) and a huge out-of-state showdown between Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, Md.) and St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia) with the winner being that much closer to jumping in the Top 25.

Top Players

Bishop Gorman: CB Kyu Kelly (6-0, 160), DE Treven Ma'ae (6-4, 240), DE/TE Falcon Kaumatule (6-8, 245), OG Beau Taylor (6-5, 285), RB Ikaika Ragsdale (6-0, 195)

De La Salle: LB/RB Henry To'oto'o (6-2, 230), DE/TE Isaiah Foskey (6-5, 235), RB/S Shamar Garrett (5-7, 170), LB Jhasi Wilson (6-1, 215), CB Amir Wallace (6-0, 160)

This will be the last big-time matchup for both teams until the playoffs. Bishop Gorman won its first game of the season last week after starting 0-2 for the first time since 2005. The Spartans showed why they are kings of Northern California shutting out Folsom's high powered offense in their season opener. De La Salle has cruised to a 4-0 start and if they win on Friday night on ESPNU there is a really, really, really good chance the Spartans will be undefeated when they face off against Southern California's best team in the CIF Open Division state championship game in December.

Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, Md.) @ St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia)

Friday, 8 p.m.

Top Players

Good Counsel: ATH Cam Hart (6-3, 190), LB Julio Ayamel (6-1, 215), LB Jalen Green (6-2, 220), OT Mason Lunsford (6-5, 305), QB Kam Snell (5-10, 190)

St. Joseph's Prep: RB Kolbe Burrell (5-7, 180), ATH Marques Mason (5-7, 165), WR Marvin Harrison Jr. (6-3.5, 175), QB Kyle McCord (6-3, 195), LB Jeremiah Trotter Jr. (5-11, 190)

The winner of this game puts itself in a great spot to jump into the Top 25 next week. St. Joseph's Prep was hanging with No. 6 St. Frances Academy (Baltimore) before the game was called because of bad weather. Last week, they were trailing St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, N.J.) 27-14 entering the fourth quarter, but outscored the Marauders 21-0 in the final 12 minutes to pull out a 35-27 comeback victory. Things don't get any easier this week for the Philadelphia power as they host Good Counsel. The Falcons are 2-0 this year and averaging 45 points per game.

No. 13 Colquitt County (Norman Park, Ga.) @ Warner Robins (Warner Robins, Ga.)
Friday, 8 p.m.

Top Players

Colquitt County: RB Ty Leggett (5-10, 170), RB Daijun Edwards (5-11, 185), CB Jay Ward (6-1, 175), OL Kamaar Bell (6-3, 320), LB Rashard Revels (6-0, 195)

Warner Robins: QB Dylan Fromm (6-0, 200), CB Trey Franklin (5-10, 170), WR Marcayll Jones (5-10, 170), RB Jahlen Rutherford (5-9, 185), WR Ty'larrious Carr (6-0, 175)

Rush Propst's Colquitt County team has looked like one of the best in the country in the early part of the 2018 season. The Packers are a perfect 4-0 and are winning by an average margin of 36 points per game. The thing that makes them so good is they are legit in all three phases. They take on a Warner Robins team that is rolling. The Demons average 46.3 points per game but face one of the toughest defenses in the state on Friday night. And, the offense is doing this all without 2019 Auburn commit Tyler Fromm, who is out with a shoulder injury. This will be the first matchup since 2011 between the two programs.

No. 3 Allen (Texas) @ Coppell (Texas)
Friday, 7 p.m.

Top Players

Allen: WR Theo Wease (6-3, 200), QB Grant Tisdale (6-1, 205), OT EJ Ndoma-Ogar (6-3.5, 320), DT Jayden Jernigan (6-1, 280), RB Andrew Henry (5-10, 180)

Coppell: ATH Jonathan McGill (5-9, 175), LB Walker Polk (6-1, 220), OG Trevor Stange (6-3, 270), OT Jack Lookabaugh (6-5, 285), WR KJ Liggins (5-11, 180)

The last time Allen lost a regular season game was 2012 and it was against Coppell when Solomon Thomas led them to a 27-24 overtime win. The Eagles have won the last three matchups and the No. 3 team in the country is rolling in the early part of the season. The starters have just played the first half because of blowouts. Tisdale, a 2019 Ole Miss commit, has thrown 34 touchdowns during the Eagles 18-game winning streak and 18 of them have gone to 5-star wideout Wease. Coppell has some weapons on offense too led by McGill, Liggins and Ryan Hirt. A name to remember is Polk, a linebacker from the Class of 2022. He leads Coppell in tackles through its first two games and he is going to be getting a lot of division one offers over the next four years.

Mission Viejo (Calif.) @ Upland (Calif.)
Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Game Preview and Follow Live

Top Players

Mission Viejo: QB Joey Yellen (6-2.5, 210), ATH JoJo Forest (5-11, 175), DE Reece Hite (6-4, 225), ATH Akili Arnold (5-11, 170), RB Jamari Ferrell (5-8, 175)

Upland: LB Justin Flowe (6-2, 225), RB Cameron Davis (6-0, 185), WR Taj Davis (6-2, 185), CB Zahran Manley (6-2, 175), RB Tyevin Ford (5-11, 200)

Just like the Good Counsel vs. St. Joseph's Prep matchup, the winner of this game will move that much closer to jumping into the Top 25. This is the game of the week in Southern California and both enter undefeated. Both these teams are loaded with Division I players and Forest has proven he is one of the best players in all of California and Flowe earned the nickname "Babyman" for a reason. The 2020 linebacker is the No. 4 recruit overall and is the top rated player from California.

No. 21 North Shore (Houston) @ Westfield (Houston)
Thursday, 7 p.m.

Top Players

North Shore: RB Zachary Evans (5-11, 205), WR Shadrach Banks (6-0, 190), QB Dematrius Davis Jr. (5-10, 180), OT Damieon George (6-6, 320), Tony Bradford (6-0, 240)

Westfield: QB Terrance Gipson (6-0, 185), RB Rayshawn James (5-8, 160), OT Cedric Claiborne (6-3, 275), CB Jaylen Stanford (5-11, 175), CB Tre Coburn (5-9, 165)

This is the only Thursday game in the Top 10 and get your popcorn popped for this one. North Shore proved it belong among the Texas greats after beating Katy 35-21 in the season opener. They followed that up with a 44-0 shutout win over Ridge Point (Missouri City, Texas). Evans has proven to be one of the best running backs in high school football regardless of class and Banks has been showing why he is one of the top players from the Class of 2021. Westfield rolls into this one undefeated. This is the seventh matchup between the two since 2004 with the Mustangs have won five of them.

No. 14 Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.) @ St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, N.J.)
Friday, 7 p.m.

Game Preview and Follow Live

Top Players

Bergen Catholic: RB Rahmir Johnson (5-10, 175), DE Aeneas DiCosmo (6-3, 220), TE Tyler Devera (6-4, 230), LB/DE Anthony Corbin (5-11, 205), S Jordan Morant (6-1, 195)

St. Peter's Prep: ATH Cody Simon (6-1, 210), DE RJ Oben (6-4.5, 240), LB Chase Jones (6-2, 215), QB Maasai Maynor (6-0, 180), RB Anthony Summey (6-1, 210)

Two of the best programs from New Jersey face off in a huge league showdown this Friday night. No. 14 Bergen Catholic got a big-time win to start the 2018 season knocking off Georgia power Grayson (Loganville, Ga.) and answered that with a win over Archbishop Wood (Warminster, Pa.) to reel off its 11th consecutive win. St. Peter's Prep was 12 minutes away from starting the season off 2-0 but blew a double-digit fourth quarter lead against St. Joseph's Prep. This is one of the best rivalries in high school football and it will be the 16th meeting between the two since 2004. St. Peter's Prep has won nine of the previous 15, but Bergen Catholic has won the last two including a 44-7 victory in the Non-Public Group IV state championship game.

Evangel Christian Academy (Shreveport, La.) @ No. 20 Duncanville (Texas)
Saturday, 6 p.m.

Game Preview and Follow Live

Top Players

Evangel Christian Academy: LB Na'Drain Dizadare (6-2, 200), DT Elijah Chatman (5-11. 260), RB Tamauge Sloan (5-10, 190), QB Blake Shapen (6-1, 185), OG Cameron Davis (6-2, 320)

Duncanville:
QB Ja'Quinden Jackson (6-2, 200), S Chris Thompson Jr. (6-2, 195), ATH Marquez Beason (5-10, 180), ATH Zeriah Beason (6-0, 170), RB Trysten Smith (5-9, 190)

Evangel Christian Academy faces its third tough out-of-state opponent to begin the 2018 season. The Eagles dropped the first two and are hoping to avoid an 0-3 start, the first time that would happen since 2005. Duncanville is loaded and especially after adding the Beason cousins. Marquez and Zeriah are two of the best all-around football players in Texas. Jackson is a name to remember at quarterback. He is one of the top recruits from 2020 and possesses the same type of skills that Vince Young had when he was a legend coming out of Madison (Houston) high school in 2002.

University Lab (Baton Rouge, La.) @ Catholic-B.R. (Baton Rouge, La.)
Friday, 7 p.m.

Game Preview and Follow Live

Top Players

University Lab: ATH Christian Harris (6-1.5, 240), LB Bryton Constantin (6-2.5, 205), ATH Makiya Tongue (6-2, 210), RB Michael Hollins (5-10, 205) and CB Jordan Clark (5-11, 170)

Catholic: TE Brandon Hubicz (6-3, 230), QB Cameron Dartez (6-1, 190), WR Forrest Roy (6-1, 175), RB Braelen Morgan (5-8, 175), CB/RB Jake Outlaw (5-11, 185)

This game features two of the best from Louisiana and the winner will prove they are the top dog in the Bayou State. This one also features the defending Division-I and Division-II state champs. University Lab brings in a 16-game winning streak and Catholic has reeled off nine straight.

North Gwinnett (Suwanee, Ga.) @ Walton (Marietta, Ga.)
Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Game Preview and Follow Live

Top Players

North Gwinnett: RB Tyler Goodson (5-10, 190), WR Josh Downs (5-10, 165), CB Warren Burrell (6-0, 170), S Quinton Newsome (6-2, 180), DE Christopher Miles (6-3, 240)

Walton: ATH Dominick Blaylock (6-0.5, 190), QB Austin Kirksey (6-3, 205), WR Kendall Alford (5-10, 170), RB Dj Soyoye (5-8, 195), OT Jared Jones (6-3, 330)

North Gwinnett had its 15-game winning streak snapped two weeks ago against Wekiva (Apopka, Fla.) but bounced back nicely last week against Norcross (Ga.) with a 42-13 win. The defending 7A state champs only loss in 2017 came against Walton. The Raiders have won 14 of their last 15 games and one of the main reasons why is because of 2019 Georgia commit Dominick Blaylock. The 5-star athlete is an impact player on all three phases of the game.
