Basketball Recap: Centreville Extends Winning Streak to Three

Centreville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Hartford Huskies as they made off with a 38-16 win. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Huskies are ranked 661st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Centreville's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Hartford, they dropped their record down to 2-17 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centreville will face off against Cassopolis at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Centreville's defense has only allowed 28.2 points per game this season, so Cassopolis' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Hartford, they will head out to square off against Bloomingdale at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hartford is facing Bloomingdale at the right time seeing as Bloomingdale is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
