Softball Recap: Oneida Indians vs. Jellico Blue Devils
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oneida). They were the clear victor by a 17-6 margin over the Jellico Blue Devils on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won seven in a row.
Jolie Duncan made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off four hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
