Evangel Christian waltzed into their match on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Ballard Christian Eagle. The Lightning have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagle, too.
Evangel Christian was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-10.
Lydia Joy Whorton had a dynamite game for Evangel Christian, getting ten digs and six aces. Whorton is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Evangel Christian pushed their record up to 14-5-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ballard Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

As for Ballard Christian, they will welcome Ezekiel Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
