Basketball Recap: Proviso West Comes Up Short

Proviso West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Glenbard West Hilltoppers and fell 54-23. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 73rd).

Proviso West's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Glenbard West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Proviso West will face off against Hinsdale Central at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Glenbard West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lyons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lyons will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Glenbard West surely won't give up without a fight.
