West Scranton starts season with victory against Old Forge

West Scranton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They never let the Old Forge Blue Devils onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Scranton also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.
TJ Giannetti was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and an RBI.
On Old Forge's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Olivieri, who went 1-for-3 with a double.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Scranton will challenge Dunmore at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Old Forge, they will head out on the road to take on Pittston at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
