Soccer Recap: Walled Lake Western Takes a Loss

If Walled Lake Western was feeling good fresh off their 5-1 takedown of Belleville on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell just short of the Lakeland Eagles by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Lakeland this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on September 9th.

Walled Lake Western's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-2. As for Lakeland, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Walled Lake Western will challenge Walled Lake Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Walled Lake Central's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Lakeland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Walled Lake Northern at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
