Baseball Recap: Evergreen Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Evergreen waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Tyee Titans as they made off with a 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Quinn Wiler was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing seven bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jose Cardenas, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Evergreen hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tyee struck out six times.

Evergreen's record is now 8-2. As for Tyee, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Evergreen will challenge rival Renton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Tyee is set to take on their familiar foe Highline at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
