Baseball Game Preview: Fulton Steamers vs. East Dubuque Warriors

The Fulton Steamers will venture away from home to take on the East Dubuque Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Fulton has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Thursday, Fulton didn't have quite enough to beat Warren/Stockton and fell 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Steamers have suffered against the Warhawks since May 6, 2022.

Meanwhile, East Dubuque was able to grind out a solid win over Orion on Saturday, taking the game 7-4.

East Dubuque is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Fulton, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Fulton came up short against East Dubuque in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 6-2. Can the Steamers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
