St. Helens extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Pendleton. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Buckaroos a 9-0 shutout. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six runs or more this season.

The victory (which was St. Helens' fifth in a row) raised their record to 25-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Pendleton, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: St. Helens beat the Buckaroos by a score of 9-0 later that day.
