Volleyball Recap: Lake Forest Comes Up Short

Lake Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Maine South Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Scouts of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Lake Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Maine South, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Lake Forest has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Fenton on the 3rd. As for Maine South, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Hersey on the 3rd.
