Basketball Recap: Paxton Starts off Right with Win over Samson + How To Watch

Paxton had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 51-38 win over the Samson Tigers.

Paxton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cade Stewart, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Stewart a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Jacob Lowry, who posted nine points.

Perhaps the best among them was Kelin Hornsby, who almost dropped a triple-double with ten points, nine boards, and nine steals. Hornsby is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least five every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brodi Mock, who put up 13 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Samson fell to 2-1.

Paxton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-45 win against Graceville on the 20th. As for Samson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-43 loss against Geneva on the 20th.
