Basketball Recap: Lincoln Park Comes Up Short

After flying high against Berwyn/Cicero Morton last Wednesday, Lincoln Park came back down to earth. The Lincoln Park Lions fell just short of the Whitney Young Dolphins by a score of 50-47 on Friday. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dolphins earlier this season, when they won 74-71.

Lincoln Park has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 23-7 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.67 points. The victory was the third in a row for Whitney Young, bringing their record for this year to 19-13.

As of now, neither Lincoln Park nor Whitney Young have any future games scheduled.
