Baseball Recap: Chalker Wildcats vs. Wellsville Tigers
Chalker had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Wellsville Tigers on Tuesday as the Chalker Wildcats made off with an 11-1 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Chalker needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.
Zach Pack made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Pack was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Tegun Noble was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Sebastian Dunn was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base.
On Wellsville's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zavri Morris, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.
Chalker's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-9. As for Wellsville, they dropped their record down to 2-20 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
