Sheridan and Delphi Community are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Sheridan Blackhawks will head out to challenge the Delphi Community Oracles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sheridan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
Sheridan will bounce into Friday's game after beating Rossville, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Sheridan took down Rossville 74-56 last Saturday. The Blackhawks pushed the score to 57-37 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hornets cut but never quite recovered from.

Sheridan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Damon Winston, who went 9 of 11 en route to 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. Winston has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Caleb Wright was another key player, going 8 for 14 on his way to 19 points along with six assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Delphi Community). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat North Newton 72-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Oracles have posted since November 30, 2024.
Delphi Community's win came from a few key players Sheridan will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Xaine Tessier, who posted ten points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Walker Jones, who earned 12 points in addition to six assists and five boards.
Sheridan's record now sits at 10-2. As for Delphi Community, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Sheridan has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 26.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Delphi Community struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Sheridan couldn't quite finish off Delphi Community in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 54-52. Thankfully for Sheridan, Chase Almager (who went 12 of 21 en route to 29 points and six boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
