Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Oxbridge Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pine Crest, Calvary Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They strolled past the Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves with points to spare, taking the game 42-28. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Oxbridge Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cali Jerabek, who posted ten points. Jerabek has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Ashlyn Nevarez was another key player, putting up seven points and seven rebounds.

Calvary Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Oxbridge Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian Academy and Ransom Everglades will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Oxbridge Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Sports Leadership & Management at 6:00 p.m.
